We are open in winter and in summer, for a total of almost 12 months a year.
Directions
As soon as you arrive at the station in Zermatt, contact us briefly by telephone. We will pick up every guest personally at the station. Our hotel shuttle service (electric car) is free of charge from 7.00 to 19.00 hours. Outside these times, we can refer you to our taxi partner (Taxi Zermatt +41 27 967 33 33).
Flying
Zermatt is less than one hour away when flying from international airports in Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Bern or Milan. Zermatt has its own heliport, serviced by Air Zermatt. Another alternative is Sion’s airport. We can help you find the best non-binding offer for a taxi transfer from the airport to Zermatt.
With the train
There are connections from Brig and Visp with the light railway of the Matterhorn-Gotthard line, allowing you to reach the Zermatt in 1.5 hours. Zermatt is the starting and ending point of the world famous Glacier Express (St. Moritz/Davos – Zermatt). For guests travelling from abroad, we recommend the Swiss Pass (allowing you the use the trains, busses and boats in all Switzerland) or the Transfer Ticket (from airport to your vacation destination and back).
Driving
Zermatt is a car free zone. The closest town allowing cars is Täsch (5 km away from Zermatt). You can reach Zermatt via the highway until Visp. Then drive up the Vispertal until Täsch. Distances are:
- Geneva – Täsch (Zermatt) 3 hours
- Bern – Täsch (Zermatt) 2.5 hours
- Zurich – Täsch (Zermatt) 3 hours
